الزمن كدفقة ماء... كخيط منسي انحرف مع الهواء... كحرارة فستان المنطاد... كدراجة نارية تقطع دروباً مستعصية... كإمرأة ثكلى تنوح بها على ابنها الميت في الحرب... كل ما سبق توليفات عن معنى الزمن... وفي الزمن سرّ... إنه لا ينتظر أحداً... ولا يدنو منك مربتاً كتفك كأب محبِّ مستدراً عطفه: يا عزيزي... خذ ما تشاء من وقت يمكنني تعطيل إنتظاري كيفما يشأ مزاجك...!.
فإما ان تكون مهيأ له بكل تبرج وإفتتان ومرح وجدية... وإما أن تقف كتمثال حيث أنت وفي يدك منشفة قطنية تمتص حسراتك الهاطلة...! ولا ندري حتى يضعنا الزمن في حساباته...؟! متى نرى أحلامنا ماثلة أمامنا تمشي وتأكل معنا...؟! متى يسلب منا الحب...؟!... كل هذا لا يهم... المهم تلك المفارقات التي يضعنا بها الزمن مع الآخرين: حينما نلتقي إنساناً يحمل عدد السنوات التي تحملها أنت... تواكب عليكما زمن واحد بظروفه وإمكاناته... بحقائقه وأوهامه... بخيباته وإنتصاراته... بكل شيء استطال شخصه ككائن مهم: طيباً عظيماً... عالماً مخترعاً... معلماً لتلاميذ جيدين... بينما أنت مجرد رجل... لا أكثر ولا أقل... أي شيء، كالطحلب... إن قبل هذه المفارقات تحطمك... تفتت ثقتك بنفسك... تشعرك بأن الزمن احتال عليك... هذا ما يشغلك... هذا ما يثير بركان مشاعرك... أحلامك تغدو أعداء كانت ضدك لامعك.. وحين تلتفت إلى الوراء ستجد أن الزمان مضى... سار من خلالك... عبرك كما عبرك غيرك... فهل سيطيق فكرك مزيداً من الجهود... هل ستظل تمثالاً شمعياً...؟!. سأقول لك: لا تلوِ رقبتك بالإلتفات إلى الوراء...!.
فما مضى لا يورث سوى الحسرة... ما ذهب لن يعيد نفسه كغنيمة بل كخيبة... إن تلك الإحباطات المرزمة كالرعو لن تعيدك طفلاً يرضع من أمه... لأن الحياة لا تلذّ لها الإقامة في منزل الأمس...! سأضيف: اصنع آلة زمنك... اخضع زمنك الضائع لمصلحة زمنك القادم... حوّله من مجرد أريكة للإسترخاء إلى منصة للقفز... كن أملك... أصفق لماركيز حكمته عن الحياة حينما قال: "لا يولد البشر مرة واحدة يوم تلدهم أمهاتهم وحسب؟ فالحياة ترغمهم أن ينجبوا أنفسهم".
