تمت الاستعانة بديالكتيك هيجل في تحليل الدورات الحضارية التي توالت على السودان (حضارة - انحطاط - اعادة الدورة). من الدورة الحضارية الأولى، لركود طويل (فترة الركود الأولى)، للدورة الحضارية الثانية، أعقبها ثلاثة قرون من الركود (فترة الركود الثانية)، الدورة الحضارية الثالثة، فترة الركود الثالثة التي استمرت من عام 1762م و حتى سقوط سلطنة دارفور عام 1916م بدأت الدورة الحضارية الر تمت الاستعانة بديالكتيك هيجل في تحليل الدورات الحضارية التي توالت على السودان (حضارة - انحطاط - اعادة الدورة). من الدورة الحضارية الأولى، لركود طويل (فترة الركود الأولى)، للدورة الحضارية الثانية، أعقبها ثلاثة قرون من الركود (فترة الركود الثانية)، الدورة الحضارية الثالثة، فترة الركود الثالثة التي استمرت من عام 1762م و حتى سقوط سلطنة دارفور عام 1916م بدأت الدورة الحضارية الرابعة من 1918 و حتى عام 1978م و حتى الآن يعيش السودان فترة ركود طويلة (فترة الركود الرابعة)، ثم تزمينها بوصول القوى الاسلاموية للتحالف مع نظام نميري، ووضح فيها بدء الادارة السيئة للتنوع و نتيجتها انفصال الجنوب و الحروب الاقليمية الواسعة في حاضنات الممالك و السلطنات السودانية القديمة.
