ولكن هذا القائد الذي خرج على رأس جيشه في أكثر من 20 موقعة حربية هامة ولم يُهزم إلا في واحدة منها على يد العثمانيين، كان عليه أن يخوض معارك داخلية لا تنتهي، لإخماد نار الفتن والمؤامرات التي تأججت مستهدفة شخصه وعرشه، كان أبرزها على يد ابنه رضا قُلي.
