هذا ما نشرته جريدة (هآرتس), بتاريخ الأول من فبراير 1980 عن لسان (شمعون بيرس) عن انطباعاته حول مذكرات إسحاق رابين.

نقول: نعم, فإسحاق رابين كتب يومياته شارحاً وكاشفاً أسرار الحالة الإجتماعية المتردية في المجتمع الصهيوني,المتفكك, والدخيل المغتصب.. والكنتونات في توزيع الحقائب الوزارية والخلافات التي تنتج عنها.. وخلفيات التعيينات, والترقيات, واستلام المناصب القيادية العليا في الجيش الإسرائيلي, التي عايشها فترة 30 عاماً. إضافةً إلى اسرار تهافت الدول الكُبرى على إسرائيل, وتآمرهم, ليس على الفلسطينيين وأرضهم فحسب, بل على الوطن العربي الكبير.
ولكنه بالغ بعض الشيء في انطباعاته عن العرب المحيطين به.
والكتاب يُعد وثيقة تاريخية تدين الصهاينة, حيث يثبت فيها الكاتب ما كان يتعرض له العرب الفلسطينيون من مذابح يندى لها جبين الإنسانية, كقتل الأطفال والرُضّع, والشيوخ, وهدم المساجد, والكنائس, وحرق وتدمير الأماكن الأثرية, كل هذا لطمس الحضارة الفلسطينية التي تُعد عهداً مضيئاً في تاريخ الإنسانية.
