«خط مرزی» با قصه «دیدگاه» آغاز میشود که ماجرایی را در جبهه عراق روایت میکند. «روزی روزگاری پدر» قصه زندگی خانواده یکی از جانبازان اعصاب و روان است و «کنسروهای خونی»، «گل یخ»، «دستهای سرگردان» و «قنات» به دیگر رخدادهای مربوط به جنگ تحمیلی از جمله فتح خرمشهر و شهدای غواص و خطشکنان عملیات کربلای چهار میپردازند.
در بخشی از داستان «قنات» چنین میخوانیم: «خیابانها از طرفی ک «خط مرزی» با قصه «دیدگاه» آغاز میشود که ماجرایی را در جبهه عراق روایت میکند. «روزی روزگاری پدر» قصه زندگی خانواده یکی از جانبازان اعصاب و روان است و «کنسروهای خونی»، «گل یخ»، «دستهای سرگردان» و «قنات» به دیگر رخدادهای مربوط به جنگ تحمیلی از جمله فتح خرمشهر و شهدای غواص و خطشکنان عملیات کربلای چهار میپردازند.
در بخشی از داستان «قنات» چنین میخوانیم: «خیابانها از طرفی که میرسند به بهارستان، بستهی جمعیتاند. او، پالرزان، روی پل چوبی که میرسد دست به کمر میگیرد و دو طرف را نگاه میکند. با خودش میگوید انگار آدمها وقتی روی یک بلندی میایستند اولین فکری که به ذهنشان میرسد پریدن است. روی پل کمی به جلو خم میشود...» همچنین در پشت جلد کتاب آمده است: «امروز غروب میآیند داوطلبها را ببرند خط. نگفته بودند عمملیات، اما اینطور پیچیده است. پتو را کنار میزنم. احساس گنگی دارم، احساس مار وقتی بخواهد پوست بیاندازد...»
بلوغ و انتخاب از بنمایههای اصلی «خط مرزی» است. موسوینیا شخصیتهایی را آفریده است که در بزنگاههایی سرنوشتساز، باید دست به انتخاب بزنند. نویسنده کوشیده است از نگاه کلیشهای به دفاع مقدس دور بماند و فضاهایی متفاوت را واکاود تا نگاهی نو به این واقعه مهم تاریخ معاصر کشور بیاندازد. او این مجموعه را به «دلاوران و رزمندگان جبههی حق که در بزنگاهها راه فلاح را برگزیدند» تقدیم کرده است.
