المجموعة مكونة من 8 قصص متنوعة هى "غرباء – جدار الشمس – سمسوم – عناقيد الآسى - قسمة ظالمة – إصرار – سر حبات الرمال – مقتل الياسمين". فى بدايته كتب حسن نور إهداء: "إلى الأجيال الجديدة من أبناء النوبة حتى يظل تراثنا باقيا مهما تغيرت الأمكنة والأزمنة".
تدور فكرة قصة "غرباء" حول الفارين إلى المدينة مرغمين وقلوبهم منفطرة آلما على فراق الأحبة، حيث كانت حياتهم فى قراهم البعيدة ملي المجموعة مكونة من 8 قصص متنوعة هى "غرباء – جدار الشمس – سمسوم – عناقيد الآسى - قسمة ظالمة – إصرار – سر حبات الرمال – مقتل الياسمين". فى بدايته كتب حسن نور إهداء: "إلى الأجيال الجديدة من أبناء النوبة حتى يظل تراثنا باقيا مهما تغيرت الأمكنة والأزمنة".
تدور فكرة قصة "غرباء" حول الفارين إلى المدينة مرغمين وقلوبهم منفطرة آلما على فراق الأحبة، حيث كانت حياتهم فى قراهم البعيدة مليئة بالدفء والإحساس بالأمان ويتحول بهم الحال، فيركبون ظهور الصعاب ويجيئون للمدن يتجمعون فى الغرف المقبضة ثم يتفرقون ركضا وراء لقمة العيش.
وتنوعت اللغة بين العامية والفصحى فى قصة "سمسوم"، وتعد قصة "إصرار" من أطول القصص بالمجموعة، وتدور أحداثها حول ما يلاقيه الرجل والمرأة من صراع مع أنفسهم ومع الناس لتعليقاتهم وتدخلهم بحياتهم من بداية اختيار الزوجة حتى الإنجاب ومنه إلى الأسماء ومستوى المعيشة وما إلى ذلك، ولكن جاب الله بطل القصة يتمسك بحبيبته وزوجته مع أنها ليست ولادة كما يقول أهل القرية.
