ولـد بمدينـة طولقـة ببـلاد الـزاب (ولايـة بسكـرة)؛ في: 17 مـاي 1939م. زاول تعليمـه الابتـدائي بمسقـط رأسـه؛ أيـن التحـق بالتعليـم العـام الفرنـسي ثـم بمدرسـة جمعيـة العلمـاء المسلميـن.ـ أكمـل تعليمـه الابتـدائي والثانـوي بالمدينـة المنـورة بالمملكـة العربيـة السعوديـة؛ بعـد أن هاجـر والـداه للبقـاع المقدسـة في سنـة 1953م.ـ التحـق بصفـوف الثـورة الجزائريـة؛ فأُلْحِـق ببعثـة الطـلاب العسكرييـن للتكو ولـد بمدينـة طولقـة ببـلاد الـزاب (ولايـة بسكـرة)؛ في: 17 مـاي 1939م. زاول تعليمـه الابتـدائي بمسقـط رأسـه؛ أيـن التحـق بالتعليـم العـام الفرنـسي ثـم بمدرسـة جمعيـة العلمـاء المسلميـن.ـ أكمـل تعليمـه الابتـدائي والثانـوي بالمدينـة المنـورة بالمملكـة العربيـة السعوديـة؛ بعـد أن هاجـر والـداه للبقـاع المقدسـة في سنـة 1953م.ـ التحـق بصفـوف الثـورة الجزائريـة؛ فأُلْحِـق ببعثـة الطـلاب العسكرييـن للتكويـن في القاهـرة؛ ثـم أرسـل ضمـن بعثـة عسكريـة للتكويـن أيضـاً في الكليـة العسكريـة السوريـة بحمـص؛ فتخـرج منهـا برتبـة مـلازم ثـاني تخصـص سـلاح المدرعـات.ـ مـارس العمـل الصحـفي بمجلـتي: الجيـش، والجنـدي التابعتيـن للجيـش الوطـني الشعـبي الجزائـري أحـد المؤسسيـن لمجلـة "الباحـث" التابعـة للجيـش الوطـني الشعـبي. أكمـل تعليمـه الجامـعيـ بعـد الاستقـلال في جامعـة قسنطينـة؛ تحصـل عـلى شهـادة الليسانـس في التاريـخ سنـة 1971 ثـم حـاز عـلى دبلـوم الدراسـات المعمقـة في التاريـخ مـن الجامعـة المركزيـة بالجزائـر سنـة 1981م؛ بتقديـر جيـد جـداً. (عنـوان البحـث: نظـم الحكـم والرسـوم في دولـة بـني عبـد الـواد) وتحصـل أيضـاً مـن الجامعـة نفسهـا ـ عـلى شهـادة الماجستيـر في التاريـخ سنـة 1988م؛ بتقديـر مشـرف جـداً.
