تبارى كثير ممن يطلق عليهم- في كل عصر- كتاب السلطة في تناول الأحداث التي امتلآت بها الفترة في محاولات لم تخل من الزيف، الأمر الذي جعل كثيراً من المؤرخين- وأغلبهم قد عاصر هذه الأحداث- يرون ضرورة تناول هذه الأحداث- مشاركين كتاب العلوم السياسية- حتى ولو لم تكن كافة الوثائق عن الفترة قد ظهرت بعد وهو أمر يفرض الكثير من الحيطة والحذر، وحتى تترك كافة الكتابات عن هذه الفترة أمام جيل قادم فيمكن إعادة تقويمها بدلاً من أن تظل بزيفها فتحكم حكماً متجنياً على الفترة برمتها.
ولعلي أذكر هنا ان سمنار كلية البنات جامعة عين شمس الذي يجمع في حلقاته نخبة من أقدم واقدر أساتذة التاريخ 1987/86 لمناقشة هذه القضية ووصل إلى هذه النتيجة مما شجعني على هذا البحث، ولهذا فانني أدين لهذا الحشد من الأساتذة بفضل التشجيع على هذه الدراسة التي كنت أفكر في انجازها كي أستكمل بها بحثاً سابقاً عن التيار الإسلامي في الفترة من 1928-1948 حصلت به على درجة الدكتوراه سنة 1978.
وإذا كنت قد حددت حادث المنشية الذي قمة التصادم بين الرئيس عبد الناصر والتيار الإسلامي ممثلاً في جماعة الإخوان المسلمين بداية لهذا البحث، وحادث المنصة الذي توج علاقة التصادم بين هذا التيار وبين الرئيس السادات وأودى بحياته كنهاية لهذا البحث، فان هناك تشابهاً بين الحادثين، فقد استقر في وجدان أتباع التيار الإسلامي من أتباع الفكر الشمولي أنهم لا يستطيعون تحقيق أهدافهم إلا بالحكومة الإسلامية وهو أمر يتطلب أعداد قوة عسكرية، ودفعهم هذا الى تكوين ما يسمى بالميليشيات الإسلامية، كما أنها تعتمد على فكرة القائد والطاعة او نظام الحكم الفردي، وهو يطابق نفس نظام الحكومة العسكرية التي قامت بعد ثورة سنة 1952، لذلك فانه قد اصبح من المستحيل ان يجمع بينهما نظام سياسي واحد، وبالتالي أصبح من الضروري أن يفسح أحدهما المجال للآخر بعد ان اصبح الصدام أمراً حتمياً، من هنا فان حادثي المنشية والمنصة ضرورة تفرضها ظروف العلاقة بين تيارين متشابهين في التنظيم والتكتيك وتحتم أن يدبر اي منهما للآخر الأحداث التي تتيح له فرصة الإنفراد بالحكم، فان لم تكن المنشية فلابد من منشية، وان لم تكن المنصة فلابد من التدبير لمنصة أخرى، وهي أحداث أسهمت وما زالت تسهم - مع غيرها- في التعبير عن أزمة الشرعية السياسية.
