كانت ثورة 25 يناير 2011 في مصر في منزلة "عودة الروح" إلى الشعب المصري، لأنّها كسرت جدار الهلع من السلطة الفاسدة والمستبدّة، وللثورات دائمًا مسار طويل من مقدّمات وأحداث تهيّئ لقيامها، وهنا يستعرض عدد من الباحثين والنقاد، بدايات الصراع مع السلطة في مصر منذ عهد السادات وصولًا إلى عهد مبارك، وتحرّكات العمال والطلبة وانتفاضة الخبز وغيرها، وحلّ الأحزاب وتراكمات الفساد والزبونية كانت ثورة 25 يناير 2011 في مصر في منزلة "عودة الروح" إلى الشعب المصري، لأنّها كسرت جدار الهلع من السلطة الفاسدة والمستبدّة، وللثورات دائمًا مسار طويل من مقدّمات وأحداث تهيّئ لقيامها، وهنا يستعرض عدد من الباحثين والنقاد، بدايات الصراع مع السلطة في مصر منذ عهد السادات وصولًا إلى عهد مبارك، وتحرّكات العمال والطلبة وانتفاضة الخبز وغيرها، وحلّ الأحزاب وتراكمات الفساد والزبونية والقمع حتى انفجار الشرارة بمقتل خالد سعيد.
يوميات الثورة وشعاراتها والمواقف الدولية والعربية، مع تقاعس الأحزاب الكرتونية المعارضة عن استشراف اللحظة التاريخية المهمة، كلّها مسطورة في الكتاب، في محاولة لنقد أوّلي لما حصل في أهمّ دولة عربية ولعلّه لا يزال عند البعض أسفٌ على أنّ مصر لم تكن السبّاقة إلى إطلاق الثورات العربية، لكنّها بامتداداتها العربية المتشعّبة أطلقت "نظامًا" اتّبعته الثورات الأخرى، كتسمية الأسابيع بأسماء تدلّ على الوقائع الحاصلة في الشارع: جمعة الغضب مثلًا، وإطلاق أنواع الفنون على غاربها، من رسم وشعاراتٍ وأغانٍ.
إنّ الصراع الذي اندلع بين السلطة وشعبها المتظاهر في الشارع كان يوازي تأثير مصر في العالم العربي، وقد حاول هؤلاء الباحثون جميعًا اكتشاف قوّة المثال في هذه الثورة وهم يسردون وقائعها.
