هذا مختصر نافع يعد فى عصرنا هذا من المختصرات الفقهية التى جمعت فأوعت، مدخل أولى لدراسة الفقه الاسلامى، وقد لاحظت أثناء عملى فى الدعوة والإرشاد والتدريس، افتقار المكتبة الاسلامية المعاصرة لمختصر فى الفقه سهل العبارة صغير الحجم، وحسب تصورى ان هذا الكتاب سيسد فراغاً ما زالت الامة بحاجة لسده.والسعدى رحمه الله لم يشر فى مختصره هذا الى مذهب من المذاهب الفقهية المعروفة، رغم أنه ا هذا مختصر نافع يعد فى عصرنا هذا من المختصرات الفقهية التى جمعت فأوعت، مدخل أولى لدراسة الفقه الاسلامى، وقد لاحظت أثناء عملى فى الدعوة والإرشاد والتدريس، افتقار المكتبة الاسلامية المعاصرة لمختصر فى الفقه سهل العبارة صغير الحجم، وحسب تصورى ان هذا الكتاب سيسد فراغاً ما زالت الامة بحاجة لسده.والسعدى رحمه الله لم يشر فى مختصره هذا الى مذهب من المذاهب الفقهية المعروفة، رغم أنه اعتمد فى مختصره على كتب الحنابلة، إلا أنه لم يتابعه فى جميع المذهب بل خالفهم واجتهد فى عدة مسائل، أما وصف هذا المختصر، فقد قال فى نفسه كلمة وصف بها هذا المختصر فقال فى إحدى رسائله الى أحد تلامذته فى خارج بلدة عنيزة
