عمر قناوى محرر أخبار مصرى ، أصدر أول كتبه ( خبرنى العندليب - شهادة عن ثورة يناير ) فى يناير 2013 ، وأثارت الشهادة جدلا كبيرا ، وصدر منها طبعيتن خلال أقل من أربعة أشهر ، تتبنى الشهادة وجهة نظر مختلفة تقول أن الثورة لم تكن عفوية تماما ، العديد من الصحف العربية تناولت الكتاب بالنقد والتحليل وبلغ عدد المقالات أو الموضوعات الصحفية التى تحدثت عنه أكثر من خمسة عشر دورية مصرية وعربية ، وكتبت جريدة النهار الكويتية عن هذا الكتاب قائلة أن هذه الشهادة ربما تعيد كتابة تاريخ ثورة يناير

وعدت للمنزل غير مصدق أن حريقاً سيحدث غداً، لكن المذهل هو ما حدث في اليوم التالي، ففي حدود الواحدة ليلاً جاءتني مكالمة هاتفية من ديق وقال: عمر أنا قدام حريق جديد بيحصل دلوقتي عند مستشفى المنيرة!!!، قلت ابلغك تنشر في الجرنان، قلت له: غريب جداً فعلاً، عموماً بكرة العدد السبوعي مش هنلحق ننشر حاجة بس بعد بكرة ممكن، أنهيت المكالمة مذهولاً، أعلم منذ الأمس أن حريقاً سيحدث!!، كنت أضرب أخماساً في اسداس وافكر في أنه يجب أن أكتب كل ما يصل من معلومات للدستور، أنا على اتصال الآن بشخص ربما يكون قريباً ممن يدبرون هذه الحرائق، وأعلم أن صراعاً كبيراً على رأس السلطة.
