"قصة مصورة بدون كلمات" هذا ما جاء في هذا الكتاب الموجه للأطفال الصغار الذين لم يدخلوا بعد إلى المدرسة، والهدف هو تنمية مخيلتهم ومن ثم مساعدتهم على تخيل ما يحدث من مغامرات مثيرة في هذه القصة. وهذا ليس كل شيء بل يمكن للطفل القيام أيضاً بتلوين صفحات القصة بأجمل الألوان الزاهية التي تتناسب مع ذوقه الخاص، والتوجه الخاص الكامن خلف التلوين هو تعويد الطفل على حمل قلم التلوين ومن ثم قلم الرصاص للكتابة.
هذا كله موجه للطفل أما الأهل فعليهم قراءة صفحة الغلاف والتي جاءت محتوية على سرد مشوق لأحداث القصة المصورة والخاصة بالطفل، وبالتالي توجيه خيال الطفل نحو أحداث معينة يربط بينها وبين ما يراه أمامه في القصة من صور جاءت بالأبيض الأسود.
سنوب السباح الماهر يقضي يوماً ممتعاً على شاطئ البحر برفقة أصدقائه. ها هو فرحاً، نشيطاً وطروباً. تارة يحاول سرقة لون الشمس البرونزي ليكسب جمسه جمالاً وسحراً، وتارة أخرى بفىء مظلته شارباً العصير المرطب المنعش.
يركب البحر يشق عبابه، يلاطم الأمواج، ثم يرمي بنفسه في الماء ويسبح متنعماً بدفئه وصفائه... أصدقاء سنوب يشاركونه فرحته... يتقاذفون بالكرة، يبنون القصور الرملية التي لا تلبث أن تهبط على أصابعهم الطرية، يصطادون الأسماء الملونة، يأكلون المثلجات، يتراشقون بالماء، ومن ثم يغطسون إلى أعماق البحر مكتشفين كنوزه وخيراته.
سنوب بطل قصتنا هذه، يدعوكم أطفالي إلى تمضية نهار جميل على شاطئ البحر. فهيا نشاركه فرحته، ونلون ما يعرضه لنا من صور.
