رواية "الملك السجين" تلقى الضوء على واحدة من أشرف معاركنا ضد قوى الشر والضلال, وقعت أحداثها على أرض مدينة المنصورة الباسلة, حيث لقى الصليبيون الهزيمة والهوان, واقتيد ملكهم المغرور لويس التاسع مكبلا بالأصفاد إلى دار بن لقمان بالمنصورة, ولم يعد للصليبيين بعد هذه المعركة قائمة. ويقول الحق سبحانه وتعالى فى كتابه الكريم, وهو أصدق القائلين (إن تنصروا الله ينصركم, ويثبت أقدامكم) صدق الله العظيم.
والله الحق لا يخلف وعده أبدا, فعندما رفعنا راية التوحيد, ونصرنا الله ورسوله, من الله علينا بالنصر فى بدر, وحطين وعين جالوت, والمنصورة, وفى السادس من أكتوبر وغيرها من معارك الشرف والفداء.
وما أحوجنا هذه الأيام العصيبة فى تاريخنا أن نتذكر, ونذكر أبناءنا بماضينا المجيد, وانتصاراتنا المؤزرة... يوم أن اتحدت كلمتنا, ونبذنا خلافاتنا, وسخرنا طاقاتنا للاستعداد للعدو, وأعددنا ما نستطيع من قوة ومن رباط الخيل, ورفعنا نداء "الله أكبر" الذى يخلع قلوب الأعداء ويزلزلها, وإلقاء الضوء على هذه الانتصارات يعطينا الزاد, والدروس, والعرب لنواجه بها قوى البغى والعدوان التى ما زالت... وستبقى... تتربص بنا فى كل مكان, ولكن الله العزيز الحكيم بإذنه وعونه متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون.
