الفتاة قادمة من الجهة اليمنى الى الجهة اليسرى قاطعة وجهها وقد سقطت طرحة رأسها الخفيفة على رقبتها مناصفة بين طرفيها التى كانت تتبعها يحملها الهواء لمسافة لا تقل عن متر ونصف وشعرها الطويل سابح خلفها أيضا وتعدو برشاقة ولم يشاهد رأفت قدماها تلمسان الأرض وكل ما فعلته أثناء التقاء نظراتهما ان ابتسمت له ورفعت كف يدها اليسرى فى وجهه. لم يستغرق هذا عشر ثوان واختفت فى المنازل المقابلة.
أفاق بسرعة من حلمه سائرا بحركة عرجاء لأنه لم يستطع ارتداء حذائه مقتفيا أثرها ولكنه لم يعثر عليها وشاهد جميع الأبواب مغلقة. توقف قليلا وقد لفه الصمت إلا من نقيق الضفادع وصوت صرصار الغيط المتواصل أحيانا ومتقطع أحيانا أخرى.
