الشاعر صوت يتجسّد في الفضاء الخاص والعام ضميراً حيّاً ووجداناً خصباً وخيالاً عامراً بالثراء والتطلّع، ويمضي بإيقاعاته السمعية والبصرية والجسدية مخترقاً الحجب، ومتدخّلاً في أدق الشروط الجمالية لإنسانيّة البشر في حلمهم المتواصل بحياة شعرية ترنو إلى عالم أكثر فرحاً وأقل عتمة. يمتد صوت الشاعر منذ أول جملة شعرية انطلقت كالبركان من فوهة أول شاعر، حتى هذا الفضاء الذي يشحننا الآن سمعاً وبصراً وإحساساً بصوت الشاعر الذي نسميه "حديثاً"، فتلتقط إيقاعاته إشكال "الحداثة" المتعدد الرؤى والتفاصيل التقاطّ حوار ومفاعلة، ليجدّد الصوت وتنفتح إمكاناته على جوهر العصر وحضارته. وطالما أننا نقترح لمداخلتنا هذه صوتاً للشاعر الحديث - على سبيل المقدمة - فإن فلسفة المقترح لن تكون مشروعة وذات فعالية، إذا لم تكن مؤسسة على خلفية وجود صوت للشاعر القديم يوفّر مصداقية منطقية للمعادلة المفهومية التي تنطوي عليها الفكرة. في الطرف الآخر من رؤيتنا ثمة صوت للشاعر القديم اقترحته مداخلة أستاذنا الدكتور مصطفى ناصف، بكتاب الموسوم "صوت الشاعر القديم" الصادر عام 1991 في "سلسلة دراسات أدبية" عن "الهيئة المصرية العامة للكتاب". وها نحن بعد أكثر من عقد من الزمن، وفي الطرف الآخر لصوت الشاعر القديم، نطلق صوتاً معادلاً مستمداً من إيحائه، دعوناه بــ"صوت الشاعر الحديث"، إتفاقاً في العنوان وإختلافاً في الرؤية والمنهج والتفاصيل.
