تتعرض هذه الدراسة بالقراءة والتحليل للانتخابات الرئاسية الإيرانية العاشرة التي جرت في 12 حزيران/يونيو 2009 من حيث أهميتها في النظام السياسي الإيراني. ولذا تم تحليل أهمية منصب رئيس الجمهورية في الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية، وكيفية إجراء الانتخابات والجهات المسؤولة عن الإشراف على تلك الانتخابات. كما تم تناول المراحل التي تمر فيها عملية إجراء الانتخابات حتى إعلان النتائج. وركزت على الانعكاسات الإقليمية للانتخابات الرئاسية الإيرانية العاشرة، من خلال فهم ما جرى داخل المشهد السياسي الإيراني. ونظرت إلى حضور السياسة الخارجية في هذا المشهد الانتخابي. كما حللت مدى تفاعل الإقليم مع ما حدث في إيران، وقدمت رؤية حول تأثير الانعكاسات التي تركتها الانتخابات في مستقبل منطقة الشرق الأوسط ودول الخليج العربية. إن الانتخابات حدث بدأ داخلياً بامتياز قبل حدوثه، وطبيعته تؤكد أنه حدث داخلي، هكذا كان الحديث عن الانتخابات الرئاسية الإيرانية العاشرة. وقبل حدوثها أعطى الرأي العام الإيراني انطباعاً بأنه يريد أن تأتي الانتخابات الرئاسية بنوع من التغيير مقارنة مع السنوات الأربع التي سبقت الانتخابات. إن حدث الانتخابات الذي بدا شأناً داخلياً لم يصبح كذلك بعد 13 حزيران/يونيو.
