ليس هذا الكتاب تأريخًا للمسيح، ولا تأريخًا للرسول، وإنما هو تبيان لموقفهما من الإنسان ومن الحياة. فالإنسان هو الموضوع الذي تحدث عنه المؤلف؛ لأنه هو محور الوجود كله، وهو سيد في هذا الكون، وهو سبب في هذا الكون، فكل شيء في هذا الوجود مسخر له، والديانات كلها جاءت من أجله، والقرآن والإنجيل يدوران حوله وقد حاول المؤلف تصحيح بعض المفاهيم بطريقة موضوعية ومنطقية. ويتعرض الكتاب لنماذج من أخلاق المسيح ومحمد يبين فيها نقاء هذين الرسولين وسماحتهما وعظيم خلقهما مع الإنسان، وأنهما لم يأتيا لفرض مشيئتهما على الأرض، وإنما جاءا ليبذلا السلام للعالم، وأنهما احترما الحياة في كل حيّ في الإنسان والحيوان والطير.
