وَمَا لِلْغَريبَةِ تَأْلَفُنِي، حينَ يَصْهَرُني حُبُّهَا، ذَهَباً مِنْ نَقيعْ؟ تُرَانِي بَرِئْتُ بِعِلَّةِ إِنْشادِهَا بَعْدَ أَنْ هَدَّمَ الرَّقْصُ قَرْيَةَ جِسْمِي، وَصِرْتُ أَشُدُّ بِحَائِطِهَا حَائِطِي؛ حَجَراً هَائِماً فِي حَجَرْ.. صِرْتُ أنْحُلُ فِي كَفِّهَا مِثْلَمَا يَنْحُلُ الصُّوفُ فِي كَفِّ غَازِلَةٍ بت َأَخْشَى مِنَ المَاءِ يُفْرِدُ ذَيْلَ الطَّوَاوِيسِ فَوْقَ السَّماءِ إلَى قُزَحٍ جَارِحٍ جَسَدَيْنَا لِسَفْحٍ وَرَابِيَةٍ لاَ يَشُدُّهُمَا عُشُبٌ أَوْ صَقِيعْ
