من جملة المهام المتصلة اليوم بمجال البحث في التاريخ أنه عمل يسعى إلى إعادة بناء الذاكرة إستحضاراً لواقع مغيَّب أو إبرازاً لأوضاع مهمَّشة مطموسة عسى أن يتم التمهيد لفهم حاضر مسطَّح مبتور بالضرورة والإستتباع.
ومع أن الضوابط المنهجية تقتضي أن يتحرر الباحث من مختلف قيود الإرتباط بزمن خارج زمن الفترة موضوع الممارسة والتنقيب، إلا أن من أبرز المفارقات المتحكِّمة في بلورة هذا الزمن بالذات أنه يمر لزوماً بالمقارنة بينه وبين أزمنة قريبة أو بعيدة بما في ذلك زمن الإنتماء الحسي للباحث.
والنتيجة هنا أن مفارقة فرعية سوف تفرض على نفسها على مستوى تابع للمستوى الأول، بمعنى أن التردد بين إكراه المقارنة مع الأزمنة الإجرائية المشار إليها وبين إكراه التحرر من هذه الأزمنة في نفس الآن سوف يُتَرجَم في نوع من التمزق الصامت المعنِّف المُعيق عملياً إلى أن يتم إفراز بَلْسم التوازن عن طريق الإحتكاك المستمر والمعاناة الدائبة والمَراقبة اليقظة وإعادة الكرة عند الإقتضاء.
أما الشق الثاني لنفس هذه المفارقة الناتجة عن الأولى، فلربما أمكن إجماله في التحرك بعد كل هذا صوب مجمل الأشواط المستعرَضَة سابقاً من منظور إسترجاعي يبتغي أن يحقق نوعاً من الإضاءة المكتسحة الرامية إلى التعامل المدمَج الجامع بين زمن الجذور وزمن المسالك الواصلة بين إمتدادات الأمس وواقع اليوم.
محاولاتنا المدرجة ضمن هذا المجموع لن تطمح إلى أكثر من التدليل على إمكانية القيام بهذا المسعى المحفوف بالمزالق في غير ما شطط أو تهيب زائد أو تحكُّم؛ خصوصاً وأن الخط التركيبي الذي ارتأيناه قاسماً مشتركاً بينها قد يُعَد مدعاة يطبعه إلى القفز على الجزئيات أو تجاهلها توخياً للوضوح وإقصاء للجوانب الشائكة المستعصية.
