يتمثَّل الجديد الطازج فـي هذا الكتاب، والصادم المشاكس فـي الوقت نفسه، فـي أنّ فيروز التميمي أقدمت على الالتفاف خلف المرآة لتقف، راصدةً ومعاينةً ومسجلةً لِمْا يتبدّى هناك من حالات نسائية، خصوصية وحميمة مثلما هي عامة ومستترة فـي آن، دون أن تغضّ البَصَر والبَصيرة عن الاشتباك الساخن بين ذلك كلّه وتصاريف الواقع المعيش، والخَشِن، واليوميّ. كأنها، بعملها هذا، تستكمل أو تتماهى مع ما قامت به “أليس” الجائلة “فـي بلاد العجائب”، حين تراءى لها أن تستكشف ما لا تعكسه المرايا عادةً على سطوحها المباشرة، الأمامية. أن تستقرئ المخبوء المتواري عن العيون العابرة. ماذا يكمن هناك فـي الخلف؟ فـي الوجه الآخر المُهْمَل والمَنْسيّ؟ ماذا يتضمن السطح الخلفي الداكن للمرايا غير العاكس؟ غير المُظْهِر للمعروض والمقصود؟ سطح المرايا الآخر دائم الصمت؟ إذَن: نحن حيال استنطاق الصمت، بمعنى غير المنطوق به وعنه، بمعنى مكتوم البوح. غير أنّ اللافت فـي كتاب فيروز التميمي هذا، كما فـي روايتيها: “ثلاثون”، و”كأنها مزحة”، مقدار الحياة النابضة بحقائقها كما هي وبالزَخَم الوافر فيها. لا تبالغ، إكثاراً أو إقلالاً. هذا كتابٌ مُضَمَّخ بالحياة على هيئة الحياة. كتابٌ يَنِزُّ حياةً لا تعتريها وتعتريه عَكارةُ الكذب. إلياس فركوح/ من المقدمة
