يضم هذا الديوان مختارات من شعر آى تشينغ التى تعكس تطور أسلوبه الأدبى، وتدرجه فى النضج، وتفهمه للحياه. ليس من السهل الحصول على أرقام مبيعات الكتب المنشوره فى الصين، لكننا نعلم أنه قد بيع بالفعل أكثر من ثلاثين ألف نسخه من ديوان « مختارات من شعر آى تشينغ » الذى صدر عام 1979. ولعل هذه الأرقام تكشف أن جمهور آى تشينغ لا يقتصر على فئه بعينها.
