يتناول هذا الكتاب الناحية الطبية للمخ ، يشرح بسيط للتركيب التشريحى للمخ ، ثم الموصلات الكيميائية الطبيعية فى الجسم والتى تعمل على المخ . ثم يتناول بعض الأمراض التى تصيب المخ والجهاز العصبى عامةحسب درجة شيوعها . أنتهج الكتاب منهجاً خاصاُ حيث رجع إلى المصادر الطبية حيث لم يكتفى بتعريب ألفاظ الحديث أو الشرح بل عمد إلى تعريب معظم المصطلحات ، حيث عمد المؤلف على أن تكون جميع المصطلحات الواردة فى أوراق وحدها بحيث يكون اللفظ العربى و أمامه مرادفه الأجنبى بالإضافة إلى نثر هذا النهج فى ثنايا الكتاب . هذا وكما يسعى الكتاب إلى الإجابة عن التساؤلات التالية : ما هى علاقة العقل بالمخ ؟ وهل هو هو أم بينهما مجرد علاقة أم علاقة صلة ؟ هل للتفكير قواعد معينة ؟ وما الاسم الذى يطلقه العلماء على عملية التفكير المقننة للوصول إلى هدف محدد ؟ ثم هل هذه العملية لها علاقة بالدين ؟ وما علاقتها ؟ وما دليل ذلك من القرآن والسنة ؟ و أقوال علماء المسلمين ؟ وما هى آراء المدارس الفلسفية فى عملية التفكير ؟ تلك الأسئلة وغيرها بما فيها إجاباتها ترونها داخل هذا الكتاب .
