خيري الذهبي روائي ومفكر سوري من مواليد دمشق 1946.
غادر إلى مصر في بداية الستينيات وتلقى هنالك تعليمه الجامعي في جامعة القاهرة وتخرج منها حاملاً الاجازة في اللغة العربية حيث درس الأدب العربي وتتلمذ أدبياً على يدي يحيى حقي ونجيب محفوظ وطه حسين، ثم عاد إلى سوريا وساهم في الحركة الثقافية السورية بكثافة في الصحافة والإذاعة والتلفزيون [[|أدب|والأدب]] بشكل خاص.
حاز على جائزة أدب الأطفال الأولى في السبعينات ،وشارك في تحرير العديد من دوريات وزارة الثقافة واتحاد الكتاب.

في هذه الرواية "صبوات ياسين" سنرى الشخصية الروائية للمثقف وهي تنقسم إلى شخصيتين، الشخصية التي صنعتها الدولة، وفبركتها، وقدمتها على أ،ها الحقيقية. والشخصية الأصلية التي هربت من هذا المصير الحالك إلى بيت الأهل المتدينين الذين كان قد حاول الهرب منهم، ثم إلى مجتمع اللاقبلان، وهم قبيلة ينشدون السلام ولا حلم لديهم إلا الهرب من القبلان أبناء قابيل القاتل الأبدي.
يهرب ياسين ويهرب، ولكن الدولة أكبر، وسنقرأ في الرواية: "أعاد النظر إلى المرآة.. الوجه ياسيني حقيقي، لا ريب ولا ليس ولا هم فيه. ولكن ماذا عن هذا العدد الكبير من الياسينات في المرايا، ياسين الوجه، ياسين القذال، ياسين اليمين، ياسين اليسار، ياسين القذالي في القدام، وياسين اليميني في اليسار".
