نفض الأجاويد هدومهم وقاموا، وهم يقولون إن العصا قوية، وإن عليه تحمل نتائج ما قالوا. تأكد ذلك الإحساس حينما جلس مع الجد هاشم علي المصطبة التي بعرض حائط الجامع، وبعد أخذ ورد طويلين رأى الجد هاشم أن الخيرة فيما اختار الله، وعندما هم بالقيام قال إنه لو الحكم بيده وليس بيد الحكومة والأجاويد، لقبض علي نساء الشق الثاني ورجالهم بتهمة السفور، وحرر لهم جميعًا محضر «تعكير مزاج»، ضحك الناطوري بينما الشمس تنقب صفحة السماء وقال: تعرف إننا دايمًا نبص لقدام وعيونا في نفس الوقت تنضر للخلف. ـ يعني عين في الجنة وعين في النار. ـ وأنت الصادق نشتاق ليوم يرجع لينا كل اللي ضاع. ـ علشان كده قالوا اللي قالوه. ـ بس أنت وافقت. ـ قول سكت ـ طيب خلاص هما أحرار. وهز رأسه ولم يعقب.
