داخل دائرة يجرى بداخلها طقس ما.. طقس موت.. أو طقس حياة.. هما فقط.. وحدهما.. وحدهما فقط.. وكان يتأمل وبرها الأصفر المنسجم تماماً مع الصحراء وكان من العسير عليه أن يتخيلها بلون آخر، بداخل تلك الدائرة المحصوران فيها معاً، دائرة محكمة تماماً، يستحيل أن يدخل إليها شئ آخر، أى لون او رائحة أو صوت، كأن الخارج انعدام، وأصبح الكون كله محصوراً فى ذلك الحيز الصغير وقبل الغروب كان يعود، سائراً وراء المعزة المتمهلة.. بخطواتها المتأنية، بدون قلق رافعة رأسها لا تلتفت، ووبرها الأصفر المكتسي بطبقة من النعومة، يتألق تحت أشعة الشمس المائلة للغروب، وعندما يتحرك الهواء يرتفع وبرها مانحا لها بعض الظلال وفور وصولهما كانت المعزة، وبجلال مهيب تجلس بجوار البدوية، ملتصقة بها بدون فراغ حينها كانت النسمات تهب، جالبة معها رائحة الصحراء.
