الكتاب طبعة أولى. يتناول هذا الديوان حال الأمة الإسلامية وما تعانيه من مآسي بعد أن تمادى أعداؤها عليها، وتكالبت عليها الأمم، ووصل حالها إلى ما وصل إليه، من تمزقٍ وشتاتٍ، وفرقةٍ وضياع، بعد أن عاشت عقوداً عديدة من الزمان في تغريبٍ عن مبادئها وحضارتها، وإبعادٍ لها عن تاريخها وتراثها، وتهميشٍ لعقيدتها، ودفع قرآنها بعيداً عن واقعها، فعاثت فيها الأفكار الغريبة عنها، وعبثت فيها المبادئ الوضعية. وتحولت إلى جسدٍ هامدٍ، لا حراك فيه، وانحدرت بحالها إلى دركٍ من الشقاء والتبعية، والتمزق والإقليمية، الكل ينهش فيها، والكل يغتصب حُرُماتها، والكل يهدد أمنها، والأمم المتحدة لعبة الأقوياء، تنفذ ما يملى عليها منهم، وتصدر قراراتٍ رعناء عنهم، ولو خربت البصرة. وقد تحقق المثل فعلاً فخربت البصرة، ودمِّر العراق وانتهبت الحضارة، وسلب التراث في بلاد الرافدين بعد سنوات الحصار. وكذلك ما يعانيه أهلنا في أرض الإسراء من مذابح ومجازر يومية. فهذا الديوان دعوة إلى أن العلا في الإقدام، والعز في الخطوات المديدة المتباعدة لبلوغ الغايات العظيمة، والمقاصد الجليلة وبالسعي لها، لا في القعود. وجاء عنوانه (ومقال التاريخ الله اكبر)، وهو اسمٌ لقصيدة تصدَّرت هذا الديوان، وهو يرصد إضاءات، ويرقب مأساة، ويسبح في فضاءات، وقد ضم إليه مقالات كتبها الشاعر على مدار سنوات عن حال الأمة المسلمة وما تعانيه من مآسي وويلات. إن العلا في الإقدام، والعزّ في الخطوات المديدة المتباعدة لبلوغ الغايات العظيمة، والمقاصد الجليلة وبالسعي لها، لا في القعود، فشحذت الهمة، وبريت العزيمة، متوكلاً على الله في إخراج هذا الديوان لأذب عن الأوطان بسهام الكلمة، وأدفع عنها بأحرفها الصادقة المضخمة بمداد الفؤاد وقد أسميته: "ومقال التاريخ الله أكبر". وهو اسم لقصيدة فيه صدّرت بها هذا الديوان وهو يرصد إضاءات، ويرقب مأساة، ويسبح في فضاءات، وقد آثرت ضمّ تسع مقالات لي كتبتها على مدار سنوات عدة إلى سبع عشرة قصيدة، لأن أشرعتها تبحر في موضوع متناغم، وتمضي لهدف واحد، سائلاً المولى سبحانه أن يسدّد الخطى، ويصوّب الرأي، ويلهم الصواب والله من وراء القصد.
