"ولا .. أشهى" نصوص شعرية ذات رؤية تحديثية تعتمد التركيز والتكثيف والإقتصاد، لا تقف عند حدود اجتراح إيقاع الفكرة فقط، بل تمتد إلى الإيقاع البصري والإيقاع الدلالي والإيقاع الداخلي. هذه العناصر تجتمع عند "هيلدا إسماعيل" لتشكل موجهاً باطنياً للتجربة الشعرية، وحيازة الأنا لها داخل خطاب متمرد يتشكل في أعماق اللاوعي ويتمظهر عبر المرونة الشعرية.
في القضيدة المعنونة "هناك عرفتُ" تقول الشاعرة إسماعيل:
" ... هذا الشعر خبيث أيضاً / علمني الغناء / وعلّمك .. / كيف تملأ عشاً بالتراب / كيف .. / خارج السرب تموت / وحيداً / وحيداً / في حلمٍ قصير / لا .. لا / لا أيها الطائر / ليس هذا .. / قلباً – للرقصِ / أودعتني جناحيك / ونسيتك .. / قصيدة في يدي ...".
تتألف المجموعة من سبعة عناوين تضم كل واحدة منها عدداً من القصائد وهي: 1- سيئة الصنع .. ربما، 2- أنصاص، 3- وشاية، 4- بينك وبين الشمس .. عبّاد، 5- مساءً للـ (موت) .. ولا أشهى ، 6- الشعر خبيث أيضاً، 7- بلا غنة.
