هذا الكتاب تربوي، إصلاحي، أدبي، علمي، اجتماعي. مادته مختارة من كتب الأدباء، وأقوال العلماء، موشحة بالآيات القرآنية، والأحاديث النبوية، ومطرزة بالنصح الرقيق والإرشاد الدقيق، يستفيد منها الخطيب، ويستعين بها المدرس اللبيب. تناولت موضوعاته أمراض المجتمع، وأدواء الأمة، والخطر المحدق بها، وتضمنت أحكامه علاجها، وإصلاح الخلل فيها، والسبيل الناجح إلى منع الخطر عنها، يقول الله تعالى: "ومن أحسن قولاًَ ممن دعا إلى الله وعمل صلحاً وقال إنني من المسلمين". وهو صوت المنبر الذي يدعو إلى الصحوة القريبة والنهضة الناجحة بإذن الله. فمن المنبر ينتشر العلم، ويخمد الجهل، فتتوحد الصفوف، وتتألف القلوب، كما تألفت على أول خطيب وأعظم مرشد وأخلص ناصح، هو سيد المرسلين محمد بن عبد الله صلى الله عليه وسلم.
