Book Description
يخوض بطل هذه الرواية معركة فناء لا بقاء، إذ يكتشف أنه ما يزال حياً بعد أن قطع قاتله رأسه وأبقى عليه جثة بلا رأس، فينتفض من قبره، ويسعى حثيثاً لإستعادة رأسه ليتمكن من الإرتياح والتخلص من الخلود الأبدي الذي يعانيه، وأثناء ذلك يستعرض تفاصيل حياته السابقة، أثناء إنخراطه في العمل مع قاتله مدة 10 سنوات. "السطر المطلق" تتحدث عن سطر لا بداية له ولا نهاية، وعن خلود مطلق لا نهاية لتسلسل الأفكار الرتيبة فيه، وهذه التعاسة تدفع البطل لمحاولة التخلص منها؛ فيخوض "معركة فناء" لأجل الموت لا لأجل الحياة. تتحدث الرواية عن كواليس العلاقة بين العامل "المكفول" وصاحب العمل "الكفيل" في الخليج العربي بصورة عامة، فيما يعدّ قضية إنسانية لم تتعرض لها الكتابة الروائية السعودية حتى زمن صدور هذه الرواية...
