إصدار هذه الأنطولوجيا المتواضعة، لبنة أولى ستعقبها لبنات إضافية لاسيما وأن الشعر في هولندا يكاد ينطبق عليه "الشعر لغة الهولنديين"، ففي 4 كانون الأول من كل عام يُصادف عيد القدّيس نيقولا الذي من تقاليده اجتماع العائلة لتبادل الهدايا المرفقة بقصائد قصيرة موزونة ومقفّاة، تتناول موضوعات مختلفة كالعتاب والحب وطلب المساعدة أو الزواج.. إلخ ولكن بأسلوب فكه ولغة مباشرة. كما أن هناك بعض المدن الهولندية التي تزيّن القصائد جدرانها، فمثلاً هناك قصيدة للشاعر جبرا إبراهيم جبرا "أيّامنا كالشتاء القطبيّ.." بالعربية مع ترجمة هولندية قام بها زميلي الأستاذ ويلم ستوتزر، تزيّن أحد جدران مدينة ليدن. ولا بد أن نذكر أن روتردام تستضيف "مهرجان الشعر العالمي" في حزيران من كل عام حيث شارك فيه العديد من الشاعرات والشعراء العرب. علاوة على ذلك في 27 كانون الثاني من كل عام، يقام "يوم الشعر" في طول هولندا وعرضها: منصات، ورشات، ومسابقات شعرية. وأخيراً، ومنذ العام 2000، هناك تقليد باختيار "شاعر الوطن" بشكل ديمقراطي (هذه ترجمة أدق من "شاعر البلاط" الذي ورد في بعض الصحف العربية ترويجاً لديوان رمزي نصر الذي هو شاعر الوطن منذ العام 2009 نظراً لاختلاف أسلوب الشاعر المختار وهدفه) كما درجت بعض المدن على اختيار شاعرها أيضاً. وطبعاً يجب ألا ننسى الجوائز الرسمية وغير الرسمية . لقد أحدثت الحرب العالمية الثانية هزة في المفاهيم الاجتماعية والسياسية ناهيك عن القلقلة في المفاهيم الإنسانية والأدبية، وتحديداً الشعر الذي يكون تفاعله وردة فعله أشد سرعة من الأنواع الأدبية الأخرى، لذا ارتأينا أن نتناول هذه الفترة راصدين التيارات الشعرية المختلفة مع رفدها بنماذج لها ثقلها في المنجز الشعري الهولندي.
