يحاول هذا الكتاب تناول المجزرة كعمل إرهابي قام به الصهاينة انتقاماً من أهالي حولا لمشاركتهم بمساعدة جيش الانقاذ في معركتي "القعدة" و"تلة العبّاد" حيث خسر الصهاينة أكثر من 70 قتيلاً في المعركتين، وهو لم يحدث في كل معارك الصهاينة مع الجيوش العربية في حرب فلسطين عام 48 وذلك باعتراف قادة الصهاينة. لذلك جاء انتقام الصهاينة قاسياً ومبرمجاً في المجزرة ويستدل على ذلك من الطريقة المدروسة في تنفيذها بطريقة منهجية وهمجية. وكذلك كان دور الدولة اللبنانية قاسياً ومبرمجاً ومدروساً في طريقة التعتيم على المجزرة لطمس الانتصار في المعركتين. وككل حدث له ما قبله وما بعده يعالج الكتاب علاقة حولا بمحيطها طيلة نصف قرن ما قبل المجزرة متطرقاً إلى انتفاضة آدم الصعبي وصادق حمزة ضد الفرنسيين وعلاقة حولا بها. وكذلك علاقتهم بآل الأسعد. العائلة الاقطاعية في جبل عامل. كذلك تداعيات "المجزرة والمجاعة بعدها" على حياة الناس في حولا وتشكل مواقفهم السياسية حتى أواسط الستينات من القرن الماضي، عام 1965 حيث سافر الكاتب للدراسة في هنغاريا وهي المرحلة الثانية من حياته. سليمان سليمان، مواليد حولا 1942. ـ عاش مجزرة حولا طفلاً وعايش أحداثها وتداعياتها شاباً. ـ مهندس كهرباشي خريج جامعة بودابست ـ هنغاريا 1972. نحات وفنان تشكيلي أقام العديد من المعارض الفردية منذ ثمانينات القرن الماضي وشارك في كثير من المعارض المشتركة. عمل طيلة ثمان سنوات على إنجاز مشروع فني ثقافي سياحي يشتمل على ثلاثة أهرامات من الخشب والأعمدة الخشبية بارتفاع 15 متراً مؤلفة من ثلاث طبقات وتشكل في قاعدتها صالة بمساحة 750 م2 وكانت عملاً فنياً مميزاً ومعرضاً لمنحوتاته الخشبية والصخرية، وذلك في منقطة بدادا في وادي تفاحتا. ولكن حريقاً مفتعلاً أدتى على الأهرامات الثلاث ومعها أكثر من مئة منحوتة احترقت بالكامل. له ديوان شعر بعنوان وغدوت عوداً فاقد الوتر، 2008.
