كان الكتاب يقول إن هذه الرواية هي رواية قديمة وإن من أعاد نشرها أراد أن يرمي عنها الغبار ويعيدها من جديد للظهور ولاسترجاع رونقها المستحق فأحسست أن كل ذلك يعنيني لأن حكايتي معه لم تكن وليدة أول لقاء بل من قبل أن اعرف انه موجود من قبل أن اعرف باسمه ومن قبل أن اعرف شكله فحكايتي معه كأنما كان علي أن انفض عنها الغبار وأعيدها للحياة، فكما كان مكتوب بمقدمة الكتاب أنها تروي مغامرات عاطفية جرت بين البطلين. علمت أنها تروي مغامراتنا العاطفية كوننا كنا البطلين هنا بهذا اللقاء فلم أكن اشعر بوجود السكرتيرة ولا رفيقتها ولم أكن اشعر بوجود ضيفه الذي كان يجوب الرواق رافضا الجلوس في غرفة الانتظار مثلما أراد هو أن يحبسني فيها مثلما حبسني في حبه المفاجئ. ثم عدت بذاكرتي إلى الوراء متسائلة: ـ لماذا ذكر إمكانية دعوته لي للغداء فأنا كثيرة النسيان؟ بالرغم من أن ذاكرتي لم تنسه منذ أن سكن قلبي من سنين، ثم تساءلت: ـ هل مثلما هو عنوان هذا الكتاب الذي ذكرني بالطعام وبدعوته التي نسيت سببها كان عنواناً لمجموعة قصصية فقلت إذن في جلستنا للغداء أكيد انه ما كان ليدور بيننا إلا قصصاً وقصصا ومجموعة من القصص عن العيون أكثر منها عن الطعام. وربما بعدها نحتسي فنجان شاي فأعرف حينها ما هي مخططاته في الحياة. ف.ليلى بيران، كاتبة من الجزائر، صدر لها: مِسَّج إلى صديقتي (رواية)، دار الفارابي، 2007.
