تناول التاريخ التفصيلي للأديان الإلهية والمرسلين بها، ويعرض للشرائع ودعاتها بوجه عام، ويتوخى إطلاع الفكر الشغوف بالمعرفة على توجيه الله الحكيم لعباده منذ عمر بهم الأرض، حتى نهاية الحياة فوقها، ويطلعه أيضاً على سير الأنبياء الذين كلفوا بتبليغهم هذا التوجيه فكانوا المثل الأعلى في التضحية والصبر والقدوة الحسنة في الأخلاق الرفيعة والتشبث بالحق، وقد زكاهم الله عز وجل وأوصى خاتمهم محمداً ? مع ما طبع عليه من الكمال البشري، أوصاه بالتأسي بهم في كل منحى بقوله تعالى ?أولئك الذين آتيناهم الكتاب والحكم والنبوة، أولئك الذين هدى الله فبهداهم اقتده?[الأنعام 6/89-90]\r\nويبين ذلك من خلال الحديث عن ملة التوحيد، ورسل الله، وبدء الخليقة، وحادث الطوفان، والأنبياء العرب وغير العرب، وآل إبراهيم، وآل عمران، والملكين، والضحيتين، وعيسى ابن مريم، ومحمد خاتم المرسلين، عليم جميعاً أفضل الصلاة والتسليم
