الشاعرة إيمان أسيري تفرّدت بتجربة لها محدداتها الخاصة، فقد انحازت إلى (قصيدة النثر) وسيلة من وسائل تعبيرها، دون المرور بالتجارب التي دأب عليها معظم الشعراء العرب المحدثين، من كتابة القصيدة العمودية، ثم التطور منها إلى الشعر الحر، ثم الانزياح إلى قصيدة النثر. هكذا بدا المشهد في تجاربهم. المؤلفة لم تر هذا الرأي، بل رأت أن قصيدة النثر فن له بدؤه وليس منقولاً عن شكل آخر من أشكال الشعر، فهو شكل ولد مكتملاً بذاته، وله سماته ولا يقبل أن يوضع في سياق تطوّر شكل القصيدة العربية.
