كتاب يؤرخ لبلاد البحرين.. يبدأ فيه الشيخ إبراهيم المبارك بذكر نبذة سريعة من الماضي عند بداية كل فصل، ثم يسهب في الحديث عن الفترة التي عاصرها والمواقف التي شهدها، فيتحدث عن البحرين: أهلها، وحدودها الجغرافية، وحكامها، وبلداتها، ومزاراتها، وعن الجمعة في البحرين (مراكزها وأئمتها)، وعن القضاة (مع ذكر مراحل القضاء)، وعن مدارس العلم، وأئمة الجماعة، وعن الأنواء وما يصلح عمله أو زراعته في كل فترة زمنية ثم يختتم الكتاب بذكر الأوزان والعملة التي جرى التعامل بها في البحرين. وفي الكتاب مقاطع مما نظمه من شعر مثل قصيدة: سفر الكون، وغيرها.
