تكتب بدهشة، تعيد تشكيل ما حولها فتجعله يبدو وكأنه يرى لأول مرة، تتجاوز فيه بساطة الحياة وعمقها، ويجتمع عنده السهل الممتنع والصعب العسير، ويتداخل فيه الإحساس بالرأي في سبيكة دق صنعها وتناسج نظمها فجاءت فناً مصفى، وتشابكت فيه ألوان من هذه الدنيا، وتداخلت فيه أزمان التقلبات والحيرة، ستلمس أطرافه الظاهرة، وعليك أن تتذوقه نافذاً إلى أعماقه الأخرى. تلك رحلتها في الحياة وتجربتها مع الناس والهموم والإبداع، ساقتها بشفافية من يعرف سر الحروف ورهافتها وقسوتها وحدتها، لذا أحكمت حياكة قصتها البسيطة العميقة المتأملة والمنفعلة. أما الشعر، فتلك حكاية أخرى! إحساس متوهج ومخيف بالعالم من حولها، تجاوز الظواهر إلى مناطق الألم الكبرى ليشكل رسالة الشاعرة التي تحاول أن تخرج من حيز الذات إلى إقامة التفاعل بين إحساس الأنثى اللماح وهاجس التأمل العقلي المتميز، فتبزغ رؤية متعمقة للحياة تتشكل لأجلها بنية خاصة في قصائدها التي استوعبت تجارب القصيدة الحديثة التي تتراكب وتتقاطع أو تتنامى متحركة حول دائرة مركزية، فتدخل التجريب الذي يوسع إمكانات الشكل ليحتوي المعاني الثقال، ليس على مستوى التلاعب المتفاعل بالإيقاع الموسيقي حضوراً أو غياباً، ولكن من خلال تنظيم القصيدة الشكلي أمام العين الرائية والذي أخذ يلعب دوراً مهماً في إيصال الأفكار فتقول ما لا يقال. الحزن لديهل مسحة مبررة المشاهد واللقطات، حزن داخلي إزاء الاختلال والفوضى وتلال الألم في الحياة، إن العين عندما تحدق في الجسد الميت ترى عجباً، وهكذا تفعل نجمة إدريس التي حدقت ثم ثغرات الموت في حياتنا المعاصرة، لذا جاء خطابها مؤطراً بهذه الرؤية، ومكوناً الشكل المرئي للقصيدة التي هي وسيلة استدعاء للتجربة، سواء كانت موزونة أو قصيدة نثر، فالهاجس الأساسي عندها هو أن يكون الشعر هو الرائي الذي يستبصر ويرى ما لا يرى، ولذلك تغوص في تجارب تطارد الشاعرية لتقتنص أقدس لحظاتها. وفي هذا الكتاب قراءة لهذه اللغة الشعرية وذلك على ضوء شواهد تم اختيارها لإظهار أسلوب الشاعرة "نجمة إدريس" وبالتالي يحتوي هذا الكتاب على جزئين الجزء الأول دراسة للسيرة الشعرية لنجمة إدريس والثاني عبارة عن نماذج مختارة ونصوص لأجمل ما دونت الشاعرة.
