"تركته هناك... في عيون طفلة غريدة كانت ولم تزل، بريئة الفؤاد حيث لا تشيخ روعة الأشياء، ولا الزمان يعبر السنين.. بالدقائق الميتة الخرساء! وعندما ودعته، خط المشيبي مغرقي.. وشخت لحظة الوداع! وهو في الإعياء! وعندما غمغمت وارتعاشة اليدين باليدين والتماعة الدموع بالعينين متعباً: "إلى اللقاء!" عرفت أن لا لقاء وأنه باق على شموخه.. في اللحظة التي بها أباع، في السوق للتجار.. للدقائق المهانة المزيفة، للقمة من أجلها-في الصباح للمساء-جاهداً أخمش الصخور في المدينة، تدمى يداي غير أنني.. أخمش الصخور في سوق المدينة!. إلى اللقاء" أحسسته نيسلّ من جنبي.. رأسه يطاول السماء! وملء أعماقي وراءه يمتد فم، يزدرد الأعماق، ثم يستحيل هوة، لا مدى تنغل فيها عتمة موحشة الصدى، ورعشة حزينة تولد في النهار، ثم تستحيل بالمساء رجفة من الألم!"
هذا ديوان جوي، رائع يعد قارئه المستنير الذواقة بكل ما لدى الواحات من ظل وندى، وبكل ما في الأدنان من عتيق الشراب حلّ أو حرن، وبكل ما في الرؤى المجنحة من شفافية اللحظات... لكنه لا يعد خريجي صفوف محو الأمية، فمن لم يتقنوا فن القراءة بعد، بمقتطفات غزلية ينسخونها لجيباتهم، أو بأبيات تتناثر فيها قطع أجساد النساء، على أبواب أسواق النخاسة، هذا ديوان جاد، إنه الياذة شاعر، وتاريخ جيل، وضمير أمة!
