أين؟ قولي لي أين؟ لقد كان كرمها يفيض بالخير والجمال، وقد كان للعدو أساليب ماكرة في تصيد العناقيد والعصافير. أحمر وجه صافو بشدة حين سألها محمد بحماس: هل تعلمين يا صافو معنى الخروج من الوطن. أعلم ذلك، لقد خرجت منه ومن التقاليد عندما تزوجت فرنسياً.. هكذا تعلمت أخلاق العصر. وهتف محمد بلهجة شاعرية: لا يا صافو، لا تشوهي عنق الوطن الجميل بالمكر. أجابت صافو بلهجة لا تخلو من ا لحدة: إذن قل لي كيف ستتمكن من استعادة كردان والدتك المسلوب؟ أجاب بيأس: صدقيني لا أعلم، لكن هل تعلمين يا صافو معنى الخروج على الأخلاق عندما يصبح الوطن كرماً بلا عناقيد؟ قالت بهدوء ملكي: أعلم ذلك حق العلم لذا تراني كلي إدراك وتشوق ومعايشة للتراث في ماضينا غنى زاخرا ومتطور والعودة إليه لا تقتصر على الشكليات، بعضهم أجبر على العودة إلى الحلم القديم مستبدلاً إياه بالحقيقة وهذا بالتأكيد موت.
