نشأت في مدينة صغيرة من ضواحي الدوحة عاصمة دولة قطر ، حيث قضت السنوات الدراسية الأولى.
درست الفيزياء في جامعة قطر ، وانتقلت الى القاهرة لدراسة الماجستير في جامعة عين الشمس عام ١٩٩٠ ، ثم حصلت على درجة الدكتوراه في الفيزياء النووية من جامعة القاهرة .
أصدرت من القاهرة ثلاث مجموعات قصصية وكتاب في الرؤى النقدية.
مكنها تخصصها الأكاديمي في أن تصير مديرة لإدارة السلامة في مؤسسة حمد الطبية بالدوحة ومكنتها الكتابة أن تصير عضوا للمجلس الوطني للثقافة في قطر لعدة سنوات، ومع وزراة الثقافة في قطر لها تعاون دائم في برامج و مشاريع مختلفة، مثل تنظيم بعض فعاليات احتفالية "الدوحة عاصمة الثقافة العربية عام ٢٠١٠" و"دولة قطر ضيف الشرف في معرض الكتاب في الخرطوم عام ٢٠١١".

تحكي المسرحية التي وضع رسومها الفنان الكبير سعيد الفرماوي عن بلدة يحاصرها الجفاف والغبار، ويفكر أهلها بهجرها، والرحيل عنها، وفيما هم يهمون بذلك يظهر في الأفق كما في الأساطير شيخ جليل تبدو عليه علامات الحكمة والتعقل والوقار ويقف ليساعد بحكمته وعلمه أهل البلدة الموشكة على الموت ليس بسبب الظروف المناخية وحدها ولكن أيضا بسبب جهل بعض سكانها، وجشع بعضهم الآخر.
