إننا نسعى في قراءتنا هذه خلافاً لما يراه الكثيرون إلى دعم رؤيتنا المحوريّة، بغلبة الوجه المضيء على الوجه المعتم في "الكتاب"، فأمام كلّ زمنٍ يهوي بالإنسان على أدراج المرارات، إنسانٌ يرقى بتحويل الدّموع إلى شجرٍ سرّيٍّ لغبار الطلع، ويجعل الفجيعة ضوءاً ومعراجاً. إنّ تركيزنا على إضاءة هذا المعنى المحتجب في الأصقاع الأشدّ عمقاً وسريّة في مشروع الشاعر الوجودي والشِّعري، سيبيّن للقارئ أنّ القراءة العابرة لـ"الكتاب" قد توحي بأنّ نقد التاريخ يأتي بدافع قتله، بينما تكشف القراءة العمقيّة له بأنّ نقد التاريخ يأتي بدافع الحرص على إحيائه، عبر بعث الحياة في المكان بإعادة حركة الجوهر التي فقدها إليه. إذن، ألا يذكّر "المطهر" الذي أنشأه أدونيس في "الكتاب" بـ"المطهر" الذي أنشأه دانتي في "الكوميديا الإلهيّة"؟ أليس هو "المطهر" الذي تحتاج الإنسانيّة إلى إعادة إقامته عصراً إثر عصر لتطهير اللّغة والإنسان والحاضر والتاريخ؟.
