في هذه الرواية ، يدك الدكتور عزيز التميمي باقتدار لبنته الثانية في مشروعه الروائي المؤسس على دعائم متطاولة الشهوق تغاير السائد المتداول ولكن ثرية التشابه لدرجة مفجعة لدواخلنا التي نادراً ما نعرضها لأشعة الشمس فتتعامل معها بالقمع أو التواطؤ الصامت وربما بالكثير من الأوهام! ويقذف عزيز في وجوهنا استفهامية الرواية وينحت السؤال: الرواية، ألا تكون إلا بقضية سياسية ساخنة وصخب كبير، أم أن لها أن تتخلق مرهفة وتترك لأزرار الدهشة أن تتبرعم لتنمو عفية إذا ما غاصت في المجتمع وتبنت هموم أفراده؟؟ أقول وقد سبقني من سبقني إلى ذلك: أن كل شيء وأي شيء يصلح أن يكون موضوعاً للرواية. في (الوحل) نجد ما يؤكد هذه المقولة وتحملنا صفحاتها إلى لوحة إثر أخرى من الفن الخالص المعتق الذي لا يقبل إلا أن يأتي ناضجاً ملتحماً باللغة بقدر طموح كاتبها الفني الذي يأسرنا عبر مونولوجات شخصياته التي تبدو وكأنها تتأمل المشهد من خارجه في مراحل معينة لتنغمس فيه فجأة إلى أقصى أعماقه في حين آخر.هي دعوة لقراءة ضرورة التدوين ومغامرة التأويل وعبثية التنبؤ والأمل الدائم بالخلاص ، كملا يجدر بي التنويه أن عزيز لا يغبننا الفرصة في كتابة سفر خامس نأخذه على عواتقنا بعد أن يكون قد أدى مهمته في نبش الأسئلة وزين لنا هذا الإغراء.
