دموعها تبللُّ حلمها ,صاحبة خدين ورديين ممتلئين وشعر أسود قصير,اعتادت أن تختبئ في صندوقها الخشبيّ الكبير قبل توبيخ والدتها لها عند قيامها بأمر خاطئ , كانت الأُمُّ تكرهُ ذلك الصندوق فقد كان يُذَكِّرُها بنعشِ زوجها الذي استشهد قبل عامين , كرمل تتقن العزف على الكمان تهرب معه من صوت العيارات النارية التي كانت ترافق ليلها ومنامها , كان الكمان هدية والدها قبل موته وقد حفَرَ عليه بيده عبارة (بتلاقي حريتك بالموسيقى يا بنتي) .
