وتحتوى المجموعة على تسع قصص قصيرة، تتنوع بين الدراما والشعر والقصص الطريفة مثل "القبعة، الحفلة، جين، فى ورقة... وبالقلم، شبه ألف ليلة وليلة". تتناول القصة الشعرية "فجر وخليل" حياة الزوجين فجر وخليل، فقد عاشا حياة طبيعية يتفانى الاثنان فى محبة بعضهما، حتى يبدأ خليل فى التصرف بشكل مختلف مع زوجته ويهينها بشكل كبير، وتتصاعد الأحداث بعد حتى تقرر فجر أن تخرج عن صمتها وترفض الذل والخنوع لزوجها مهما كانت محبته بداخلها. بينما تعرض "كعب عالى" قصة شاب يفشل فى التعبير عن حبه للفتاة التى أحبها بسبب خجله الشديد حتى يقرر أن يبتعد عن كل الفتيات، ولكنه ذات صباح يسمع صوت حذاء ذا "كعب عالى" على السلم تقف أمام منزله وطرق خفيف على الباب إلا أنه يخشى فتح الباب، ويتكرر ذلك عدة أيام ويبدأ فى خلق قصص لصاحبة هذه الخطوات ويعيش معها قصة حب كبيرة حتى يكتشف المفاجأة. وتقدم الكاتبة فى إطار كوميدى "أصل حكاية شهريار" السبب وراء حب شهريار ورغبته الشديدة فى الانتقام من النساء، وقتله لجميع فتيات بلدته بعد أن يتزوجهن حتى تستطيع شهرزاد أن تسيطر عليه وتغير هذه الرغبة الانتقامية بداخله.
