كتاب في علم التراجم، وهو يعتبر من أفضل وأشمل ما كتب في علماء الحنابلة، ويأخذك الكتاب في رحلة جميلة وشيقة لتتعرف على سيرة علماء أجلاء من علماء المسلمين المتخصصين في الفقه الإسلامي، وقد ترجم فيه مصنفه لـ 706 من أعلام المذهب الحنبلي، يذكر اسم الفقيه ونسبه ومولده وشيئا من مآثره وتاريخ وفاته . وقد سار على نهجه ابن رجب الحنبلي فأضاف إليه ذيلا ترجم فيه لعدد كبير من فقهاء الحنابلة بلغ 552 ترجمة . وقد أضفناه إلى الكتاب، واضفنا أيضا في آخره ملحق فيه تراجم الحنابلة الذين ذكرهم السيوطي في كتابه بغية الوعاة وهذه طبعة مخرجة الأحاديث وعليها حواشي مهمة
