تبدو العلاقة بين الهامش والمتن، في السرد بصفة عامة، على قدر بالغ من التعقيد والتشابك بالرغم من الحدود اللفظية والتعبيرية، والمكانية الفاصلة بينهما، ذلك أن التعامل مع الهامش يشمل العديد من جوانب الحياة التي يغلب فيها الهامش على المتن، ليصير في هذا العرف الجديد، الذي طالته التحولات الاجتماعية والنفسية والاقتصادية، متناً مشوهاً يحمل سمات الهامش والتحول في كل شئ، وذلك تعبيرا عن الهم الإنساني بكل أحلامه ومنعطفاته وإحباطاته وتصادماته مع الواقع ومفرداته الضاغطة على عصب الوجود.. ومن هذا المنطلق الفكري يبدو اتجاهنا في الكتابة عن "الهامش في الإبداع" أو "إبداع الهامش" المنطلق أساسا من ثقافة التعامل مع الهامش، والذي ينطلق من الفجوة القائمة بين مستويات الحياة/ المجتمع، والعلاقة بين تلك الأطراف لكي نسجل/ نرصد ملمحا غالبا على سمات الكتابة/ الإبداع بصورة عامة، والذي يحتفي بقيمة الهامش فكريا وأدبيا دوما على حساب المتن الذي بالرغم أنه يمثل مركز ثقل ككتلة قد تبدو متماسكة برغم ما يمور بها من خور قد يدفعها في اتجاه سمات الهامش، إلا أنه قد يصير هامشا بجدارة يستحق المزيد من سبر الغور وتحليل العلامات التي تؤدي إلى ذلك..
