لما كان الحقل الرياضي وبالأحرى كليات وأقسام التربية الرياضية في حاجة إلى مقرر يلقي الضوء ويساهم مساهمة مباشرة بأسسه العلمية للنهوض بالعملية التعليمية والتدريبية وتحسين اللياقة البدنية والفنية للمتعلمين والمتسابقين .... لذا جاء هذا الكتاب كجهد متواضع بهدف زيادة الانجاز فى مسابقات المضمار والتعرف على المسابقات المختلفة للمضمار وبحث أسسها وتاريخها ومبادئها وميكانيكية الأداء وأساليب وطرق تدريسها ومفاهيمها المختلفة كمعلومات تساهم في تطوير ورفع المستوى المهني للمعلم والمدرب وكذلك طالب التربية البدنية والرياضية، كما تطرق الكتاب إلى عرض نماذج للتمرينات البدنية والألعاب الصغيرة وبرامج التدريب والتعليم والقانون فى مسابقات المضمار، وإلقاء الضوء على العوامل والمحددات المختلفة التي توثر على ميكانيكية حركة الجسم حتى يمكن الوقوف على إمكانية الاستخدام الأمثل لهذه المحددات لإنتاج أمثل أداء حركي للجسم البشري من خلال أداء التمرينات البدنية المتخصصة فى العمل الحركي - الميكانيكي. والله أسأل أن يكون هذا العمل خالصاً لوجهه الكريم وأن يكون هذا الكتاب عونا للطلبة من طلاب كليات وأقسام التربية البدنية والرياضية والعاملين فى مجال العاب القوى. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.
