The Author Book Vibrating Light and the author of 7 another books.
كاتبة مصرية من مواليد العام 1976، درست الصحافة والإعلام بكلية الإعلام بجامعة القاهرة.
بدأت بنشر قصصها القصيرة فى الصحف والمجلات المصرية والعربية وهى فى سن العشرين.
نشرت أول مجموعة قصصية عام 2001 بعنوان "ضوء مهتز"، دار ميريت بالقاهرة، وترجمت العديد من قصص المجموعة إلى الإنجليزية، الإيطالية، الفرنسية، والسلوفينية.
صدرت روايتها الأولى "متاهة مريم" عام 2004 عن دار ميريت، وطُبع منها حتى الآن ثلاث طبعات بينها طبعة شعبية عن "مكتبة الأسرة"، كما صدرت بالانكليزية عن منشورات الجامعة الأمريكية، القاهرة 2007.
روايتها الثانية "وراء الفردوس" صدرت عن دار "العين" القاهرة 2009.ووصلت إلى القائمة القصيرة لجائزة البوكر العربيةفي دورتها الثالثة.

خرجت من باب الشقة بهدوء، وأغلقت الباب خلفي، كان السلم معتماً بعض الشئ، فاستغرقت وقتاً أطول من المعتاد كي أصل إلى الشارع شبه الخالي، الذي خطوت فيه ببطء لم أجد ما أفكر فيه فتشاغلت بعد خطواتي لكنني كنت أخطئ كلما وصلت إلى الخطوة السادسة، فأعاود العد من جديد، وعندما مللت هذه اللعبة اتجهت إلى مقهى قريب وجلست في ركن مهمل، كان المجهود الذي بذلته منذ الصباح قد أنهك قواي، وأفسد كي ملابسي، مما أعطاني إحساساً طاغياً بالقذراة حاولت تجاهله قدر الإمكان..
أشعلت سيجارة جديدة، وارتشفت رشفة من فنجان القهوة، الذي وضعه النادل أمامي قبل أن ينسحب بسرعة، احتسيت القهوة بتلذذ .. ثم قلبت الفنجان في الطبق، وأمسكته لأرى فيه ما يشبه الخريطة الداكنة.. كان وجهها أمامي بكل الشحوب والرعب الذي سيطر عليها في اللحظات الأخيرة، لم استطع أن أسيطر على القشعريرة التي اعترتني فجأة، فهذا الوجه سينطبق في ذهني، سيلتصق بي وألتصق به، طعانات سكيني قربتني منها.
