قصة (بيتر شليمل العجيبة ) من تأليف اّدلبرت فون شاميسو ومن ترجمة لبنى فؤاد والصادرة ضمن سلسلة الابداع القصصى ،تتناول قضية الصراع بين الانسان والشيطان الذى يهدف الى امتلاك ارواح البشر عن طريق اغوائهم بالمال الذى يلهث ورائه الجميع،وتدور أحداث الرواية فى اطار رمزى خيالى حول شاب يبيع ظله للشيطان مقابل زكيبة مليئة بالذهب ،وعندما يندم الشاب ويريد استرجاع ظله يراوده الشيطان على بيع روحه مقابل استعادة ظله،لكن بطل الرواية "بيتر شليمل " يرفض بيع روحه للشيطان . ترجمت هذه الرواية ل 28 لغة،وهى قطعة فنية من أدب العصر الرومانسى،وكانت من المقررات الدراسية فى المدارس الالمانية،وقد احتفلت المانيا بمرور مئتى عام على نشرها للمرة الاولى عام 1814
