كتاب أصدره مركز البحوث والدراسات الكويتية، يوم وفاة المرحوم الشيخ جابر الأحمد الصباح في الخامس عشر من ذي الحجة 1426هـ الموافق الخامس عشر من يناير 2006م، يذكر فيه بعض اللمحات المشرقة من تاريخ حياة المغفور له لتكون بين يدى أبناء الجيل الحاضر والأجيال اللاحقة منارة يستضاء بها في استمرار تحقيق تنمية الكويت المستدامة، والحفاظ على استقلالها واستقرارها في مواجهه تحديات الحاضر ومعطياته، والمستقبل وتوقعاته حتى تظل الكويت كما أرادها سمو الأمير الراحل والراشدون ممن تبعه من حكامها أسرة واحدة، وواحة أمن وأستقرار. ونظرا ً للإقبال المتزايد على طلب الكتاب من المؤسسات الثقافية و العلمية و الإعلامية و بخاصة وزارة التربية صدر منه بعد ذلك طبعتان الأولى مزيده و مزودة بالصور الملونة , و الأخرى مبسطة و تختصره لطلاب المدارس بالمراحل المختلفة .
