نبذة النيل والفرات: يقول المؤلف في مقدمة كتابه بأن من أجلّ العطاء وأفخر النسب وأغنى النوال وأتمّ النعم وأفخم النحل وأسمى المنح من الله للبشر هي الولاية للنبي وآله، وأن من أتم حكمة الله تعالى وقدرته أنه جمع ظهوره بهذه الصفات التي هي البيان القولي وظهوره بالبيان الشهودي لتقييم حجته وبيان منهجه وقدرته للراجح على المرجوح، ولا ريب أن هذا الدليل الشهودي يجب أن يحاكي صفات الله الفعلية والباب الذي يتوجه به إلى الله (سنريهم آياتنا في الآفاق وفي أنفسهم حتى يتبين لهم أنه الحق) وقول أمير المؤمنين عليّ رضي الله "وظهر في العقول بما يرى في علامات التدبير الذي سئلت الأنبياء عنه فلم تصفه بحدِّ ولا بنقصٍ بل وصفته بأفعاله ودلّت عليه بآياته. ويتابع المؤلف قائلاً بأن أحاديث السنة الشريفة جاءت عند معاشر المسلمين وبالأخص الشيعة الأثنى عشرية أن محمداً وآله صلوات الله عليهم هم الدليل إلى الله والمرشدة إلى طريق معرفة الله. فمن هذا جاء أن موالاتهم موالاة الله وحبهم حب الله وطاعتهم طاعة الله ومضيفاً يقول بأن الروايات التي تتناول هذا المعنى عديدة، من أجل ذلك انبرى إلى تأليف كتابه هذا الذي جمع فيه أخبار كلامهم وأنوار أفعالهم وفيوض ألفاظهم وسمّاة "أنيس المحبين وبهجة الموالين".
